Pear Loaf with Pear Butter Glaze

What you need:

1 1/2 cups of Daily Grind Flour
3/4 cup of sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs room temperature
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups chopped pears

What to do:

Preheat oven to 350. Line a greased 8×4 inch loaf pan with parchment. Whisk together the first 6 ingredients. In another bowl, which together eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla: add to flour mixture, stirring just until moistened batter will be thick. Fold in pears. Transfer mixture to prepared pan. Bake until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. 50-55 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool.

For the Pear Butter Blaze:

2 medium pears cut into chunks
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 cup cream
Place all ingredients into a medium pot over medium heat. Cook until the pears are soft, about 20 minutes and the mixture has thickened. Place mixture in a blender and blend until smooth.

In a bowl mix 1/4 cup of the pear mixture with 1/4 cup of powdered sugar and 2 tbsp water. Add water as needed until you get the desired consistency. Spread over the top of the loaf once it has cooled.
