Bread Machine Bread

What you need:

1 1/2 cups Warm Water

2 tbsp Butter

2 tsp Salt

4 cup Daily Bread Flour

4 tsp Vital Wheat Gluten**

3 tbsp Milk powder

1/3 cup Brown Sugar ( use honey or white sugar for a lighter coloured loaf)

2 tsp Quick Rise Yeast

****HINT: Vital Wheat Gluten is used to add extra elasticity and rise to the loaf. Since 1847 flours are freshly milled and not chemically bleached there is a lower gluten content. ( If the bread flour has been left out for several months the natural bleaching process will occur and the vital wheat gluten is not needed. This is how bread flour used to be made, with a 12 week rest allowing natural oxidation to occur to aid in gluten formation.)

The Steps:

1. Add ingredients in the order listed to bread pan

2. Look through your bread machine book to find a program that is approximately 3 hours long for a 2lb loaf.  It must also be programmed for using quick rise yeast. (whole wheat setting for my bread machine)

3. Set it and enjoy!
